I don't get it.

I don't get how a professional, experienced photographer can take a young, attractive woman and make her look like a tricked-out, aging, space-hooker as others have called it. I don't even know what defines a space-hooker, but I think this month's Maxim might be close.

The guys looked hot, but I might be partial. Katee, you should sue.

Pluto is still a planet--and not just for nostalgic sake.

Size is certainly going to be taken into account, but if it behaves like planet, then it should be considered a planet.

I know they have other criteria going on, such as the ability to draw other objects and be affected by other objects, however, Pluto's situation could've easily been Earth's own if Jupiter had a closer home to us. Jupiter has spent its entire history drawing countless meteors, comets, away from its more smaller neighbors. Jupiter is what has protected Earth and other bordering planets from multiple impacts.

The popular, theorhetical comet that killed the dinosaurs... without ol' Zeus, that could've been a repeat if you follow the Drake equation and other studies that demonstrate how common it is for heavenly bodies to collide. Basically, scientists credit Jupiter with allowing one of the most important ingredients to our unique ability to evolve: time.

What I'm saying is that Jupiter is so immensely massive and it's gravity so strong, that given Earth's size, had it been closer to us, I think our planet's orbit would've been affected as Neptune affects Pluto. But would we cease to be a planet?

...

ugh... Nightwing 122 is awful... *cries*..*wimpers*... Seriously, when did the batbooks start reading like the f**king X-men.

I thought I was pissed off with how they were writing Dick, but what they're doing to Jason is just wrong. WROOOOONG. I hate this f**king storyline. It needs to *stop*.

I think I got myself a new show. Just finished watching Eureka on the skiffy chanel, and although the pilot was moedest in terms of plot, it had an unexpected twist at the end. And such a pretty, pretty cast too. The season preview makes me believe the series will be a quirky mix between Eerie,Indiana and X-Files.

Didn't hurt that they showed a BSG trailer for the upcoming season, of course. Gawd, October can't come fast enough.

Marv Wolfman just did an interview with Newsarama about his return to Nightwing. He discusses his vision and plans for the upcoming 4-parter that will showcase everything fans love about Dick. Pun intended.

"...Likewise, Wolfman’s put some thought into why people tend to like Nightwing so much. Not “people” in the DC Universe (although they like him a lot too), but readers. Consistently, Dick Grayson is one of the most popular heroes in the DC pantheon among all DC fans. Oh – and there’s also an odd caveat to the character’s popularity – he’s probably one of the only male superheroes who has more female than male fans…or if not more, than at last female fans that feel more passionately about him than his male fans..."

Marv thinks he has the answer to why. I simply can't get over the idea that we're finally getting the smart, sexy, pun-loving detective back. I must be drunk or smacked out on something, because that would mean DiDio has done something right and my brain simply rejects that.

Go read. Go read now.

Had a complete food orgy today... nearing coma...

I must have put on ten pounds gorging on [really] cheap beer, guacamole dip, and fall-off-the-bone barbeque pork. Fireworks was just icing on the cake, which was German Chocolate, btw...

I have too many friends that can cook and no self control.

Happy 4th everyone.

Brace yourselves Dick n' Babs fans.

Asked if readers will see more of the Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon relationship? Didio: “Not if I can help it, and guess what – I can.”

Well, its not an admittance of fault or an apology for the utter crapfest that has been the Nightwing monthly-- and several others, I might add-- but D. Didio has announced that Marv Wolfman will be a writer on NW #125. I'm hoping its not a guest spot since facts are still a bit sketchy.

Words can't describe how long I've waited for something like this. I haven't bought a single Batbook since Crisis began and Nightwing was just pissing me off with the writing. What I've heard about Post-OYL, plus DiDio's confession that he had planned all along to kill off Dick Grayson [but was convinced not to by Johnns at the last minute] has not convinced me to make a trip to the comic store. DC is a total mess right now. I don't know what the IC did for anyone other than recomplicate an already compressed timeline.

The only positive potential I can wring from it, is the ability to erase some of the crap storylines that came out in the last several years. Not holding my breath though.
